The College of Health Sciences was started by the Madras Medical Mission in the Year 2021 at Pondicherry with the intention of providing good supportive health care to the public in and around this part of the country. With the increased burden of diseases today there is also a growing demand for paramedics in our society. The College of Health Sciences at PIMS, Pondicherry under the auspicious of Madras Medical Mission gives a strong foundation for the students who wish to pursue a career in paramedical sciences. Pondicherry Institute of Medical Sciences, A unit Madras Medical Mission offers a School of Physiotherapy, which is approved by the Government of Puducherry and affiliated with Pondicherry University, Puducherry, is conducting a Bachelors Programme in Physiotherapy, with four years of study and six months of compulsory regulatory internship. The School of Physiotherapy, CHS, PIMS, offers professional programmes in institutions possessing state-of-the-art infrastructure through highly qualified and dedicated faculty.
