  • Pedagogy

    Pedagogy is the art or science of teaching and educational methods. Pedagogy most commonly understood as the approach to teaching refers more broadly to the theory and practice of education, and how this influences the growth of learners

  • Clinical Training

    The students are provided theoretical knowledge, along with on-the job training. A year round clinical Training in hospitals, medical centres and all sectors of Health Care industry, ensures their industry readiness. Participation in medical seminars, workshops and conferences internally and externally helps to build confidence in them.

  • Vacation Training

    At the end of every academic year the students undergo training in various Health Care Institutes approved by the college as a part of their curriculum. This training gives opportunities to work in other new departments and empowers them to make a better informed career choice.

  • Method of Training

    Training of the students as per NMC “Vision: 2020- “The training of students shall involve learning experience ‘derived from ‘or ‘targeted to the needs of the community. It shall be necessary to expose the students to community based activities. Vertical & Horizontal integration of various subjects is done at all stages of the education. Ethics is also taught to the students so that they know the concepts of ethical medical practice. Training also include outreach community programme and rotation postings of small duration in the different outreach hospitals of the medical college

  • Evaluation

    Continuous Assessment of the students in both theory and clinical programme insists upon the student’s self-responsibility and increased motivation levels for better performance in the periodic written test, viva, log book and seminars. Periodical evaluation by teachers and feedback of parents at the Parent-Teachers Meets and mentor - Student meet.

  • Social Responsibilities of Allied Health Students – CHS, PIMS

    Allied health students at the College of Health Sciences, PIMS, play a vital role in serving the community beyond their academic learning. Their responsibilities extend to:

    1. Patient Care Support – Assisting healthcare teams in diagnostics, therapy, and rehabilitation to improve patient outcomes.
    2. Health Awareness Programs – Conducting health camps, screenings, and educational sessions to promote preventive healthcare.
    3. Ethical Practice – Upholding professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity in patient interactions.
    4. Community Engagement – Volunteering in medical camps, blood donation drives, and outreach programs for underserved populations.
    5. Emergency Response Training – Being equipped with first aid and basic life support (BLS) skills to act swiftly in medical emergencies.
    6. Environmental Responsibility – Promoting eco-friendly healthcare practices, waste management, and sustainability in hospital settings.

    Through these efforts, allied health students contribute to a healthier society while developing a strong sense of compassion, responsibility, and professionalism in their field.

  • Student Clubs

    If you want to be one of the best, you have to ELEVATE ALL ASPECTS OF YOUR GAME. Clubs and organizations are a big part of college life! A club is “a group of students organized with a similar interest for a social, literary, athletic, or other common purpose; Students have the opportunity and choose to join these groups for many reasons including: pursuit of individual interests; career networking opportunities; and social camaraderie. All students should be strongly encouraged to pursue club and organizational membership opportunities to help them enrich their college experience. 1. Book club: The book club is a way for students to expand and explore the vast world through words. College of health sciences strives to ensure growth in language, communication and innovative thinking. 2. Eco Club: The Eco club brings together students who have a passion for enjoying Gods wonderful creation and will work together with the college to bring a greener tomorrow. 3. Diet and nutrition club: This club proves that eating healthy doesn’t mean that it won’t be tasty and will help improve the overall health of the community. 4. NCC Club: The NCC is an age-old tradition to help bring structure and function into the lives of those who wish to serve and protect the community and CHS will aid in their training and development.

  • Student Council – College of Health Sciences, PIMS

    The Student Council at the College of Health Sciences, PIMS, serves as the voice of the student body, fostering leadership, teamwork, and student engagement. It acts as a bridge between students and the administration, ensuring a positive and enriching academic environment.

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    1. Represent student interests and address concerns with the administration.
    2. Organize academic, cultural, and extracurricular activities to enhance student life.
    3. Promote discipline, teamwork, and leadership among students.
    4. Encourage community service, health awareness programs, and social responsibility initiatives.
    5. Uphold the values of professionalism, ethics, and inclusivity within the college.

    Election Process:

    The Student Council is democratically elected each year through student voting, ensuring fair representation from all courses. The council comprises key positions such as President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and representatives from each academic program.

    The Student Council plays a crucial role in shaping student experiences and upholding the values of the College of Health Sciences. Through collaboration and active participation, students contribute to a vibrant and dynamic campus life.

  • Remedial Classes

    Our remedial classes in the institution are organized primarily for the unprepared students and parents with the faculty ensures success in the desired goal.

  • Parents –Teachers Meeting

    These meetings foster better relationships between parents and the college faculty. These mentors create a partnership which helps the institution listen to and deal with parent’s to learn more about the institution and ways of improving their children’s education

  • IELTS Coaching

    IELTS is developed to provide a fair and accurate assessment of English language proficiency. Excellent communication skills are essential these days as fifty-five countries have English as their first language. Demonstrating a good command of the language could open up option for you to pursue a career as foreign country.
